The Consequence Management (CM) team is a collaborative Human Resources function with broad scope in relation to employee suitability and conduct and within the team, we have three pillars of responsibility working together. Suitability focuses on the fit and proper assessment and development of in-scope senior managers against regulatory expectations. Global employee relations focuses on a high volume of cases of employee misconduct using regional experts with a broad base of experience. The Centre of Excellence (COE) is a dedicated team tasked with handling the most complex and significant cases for the Bank, linking the suitability of employees to CM outcomes. The COE also includes the team's governance, reporting, and policy management function; this role is within the COE.

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Drafting, amending, and managing policies and procedures for the CM function, including stakeholder engagement
  • Governance support to CM committees, working with the London and regional teams to provide global coverage for the function
  • Support for requests for audits and internal reporting requirements
  • Owning the documentation standards to be set for the CM function, including applying a high level of quality control
  • Presentation of CM deliverables to multiple stakeholders in the Bank; confidentiality and discretion are essential in handling the Bank's most serious matters

 

Your skills and experience

 

  • Acute attention to detail in all aspects, especially communication skills, both written and verbal; experience developing briefings and presentations for executive/board level audience
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications e.g., PowerPoint, able to apply CM team style and branding to all team outputs
  • Agile and flexible with an ability to adapt style and plans according to the situation, stakeholder dynamics, and multiple competing deadlines
  • Confident self-starter, execution focused, and experienced working in a matrix environment with minimal handholding and a remote team environment
  • Experienced in defining and executing controls
